Meet Trent.

Trent is my oldest nephew and today is his birthday...he's turning 15!!!  Crazy!  He’s a pretty cool kid & an awesome drum player…he has a big kind heart that loves me even when I'm a jerk, he may not like me publicizing that.  Oh, and he's a Clemson Tiger through and through.  He's going today to try to get his permit, thank goodness we have another safe year on the highways;)  In my younger years when I aspired to be a doctor, I told him I'd buy him his first car...I sure hope he's not still holding me to that.  Trent, thank you for making me the coolest 3rd grader EVER by making me be the first to be an aunt, thank you for having a hard head and surviving the many times I dropped you & that one time Jake decided to use your head as a baseball, thank you for being a little brother to me, and most importantly thank you for being you!  I love you.

Sunday afternoon bike ride...

Bradley & I love Sundays...when we were dating we would always eat together after church and then drive around drinking sweet tea.  After we got married we bought a couple of beach cruisers and this tradition changed to a sunday afternoon bike ride.  Well, after neglecting our bikes for several months due to our unusually cold winter...today, in the beautiful sunny weather, we went on a bike ride!  We rode all around downtown Charleston and then took a bit of a break at waterfront.  Days like today remind me that I'm blessed to live in one of the most beautiful cities!

A New Hobby

I love reading blogs and frequently visit quite a few, so I decided I should have me own.  I chose to call my blog "I've been set FREE..." well, because I'm quite fond of being FREE.  For several of the reasons I've listed above, and for the fact that I very much hate feeling trapped.  I've been blessed to have the FREEdom of knowing a sweet Jesus who lives inside this wretched soul of mine, blessed to have known the FREEdom of traveling to the other side of the world, blessed to have the most wonderful friends ever, who banded with me to both push & test the limits of being FREE...
From time to time, I'll let my thoughts flow and exercise a little bit of my FREEdom through my new outlet...this blog:)
