Okay, so it's 2:00 in the morning...clearly way past my bedtime. My circadian rhythm has been slightly offbeat the last couple of nights, hard to fall asleep without the hubby and had to finish my movie...
So, I'm brushing my teeth and this half spider/half very small dragon fly drops into the sink...I jump back and run to grab a tissue (I'm not swattin at that thing with my hand), and try to squash it. Well, it flies...it bounces all over the little corner where the sink and mirror are and I am right behind it, barely missing it each time.
Somehow, I lose sight of it...I assume it flew out of the slightly opened bathroom door. I step back, toss the tissue in the trash, turn back around and realize that when I stepped back I killed the bug! As soon as I saw this, I laughed because I could hear the Lord saying, "BE STILL". I tried and tried in my own strength to get rid of the little pest that interrupted my nightly routine. Through my little insect friend the Lord sweetly reminded me to trust Him, wait on Him, I can do all things through Him.
This is an important lesson right now because since Friday I have tried, in my own strength, to cancel my upcoming flight, transfer my flight to someone else, and even credit it to a future flight...all this because I wanted to see Bradley sooner than we had originally planned. Thank you Lord for reminding me that things happen in your time and that my husband is going to look pretty cute when he picks me up from the airport;)
